Memories & Customer Comments
As I prepare my exit strategy, word is circulating that I am actively looking for a buyer so I can retire. I am getting some really cool heartfelt letters from some of the plethora of customers I've had the pleasure to serve over the years. This section of the website is a tribute to the fantastic community we have built at PVB and hope to continue for many years to come!
Cheers, Penny Pink

Penny last night was absolutely perfect! Everyone had a great time and everything tasted so good. We appreciate you taking such good care of our group. And thank you so much for the compliment. That means a lot to me. I would love to do this again if you will have us. I will make sure to get in there more regularly for dinner with my husband as well.

Hi Penny Pink,
My name is Melanie Martinez. My husband and I had our first date at your restaurant. Six years ago we met online, he lived in Missoula, MT. and I lived in Kuna, ID. After talking for weeks we met in the middle of our directions at your place. It’s a beautiful memory for us. We had a wonderful time and fell in love
Anyway, to get to the point of this email. I went to your restaurants web site to print out some pictures of your place and make a Christmas gift for my husband. I read about your recent surgery and possible selling of your establishment. It’s sad to hear. But I understand how life goes.
I wanted you to know that besides the joys and pains of owning your own business, you are partially responsible for getting us two birds together. We now live in Arizona and can’t wait to spend every day of our lives together.
Thank you
Merry Christmas

Hi Penny Pink,
I moved to Pocatello for ISU’s physician assistant program. My fellow students introduced me to the best sarsaparilla on the planet. We hung out at PVB, studied there, trauma-bonded there, and I brought my little kids there. After moving back to Washington for a few years, I made a trip back to Pocatello for a job interview. I flew to Salt Lake, rented a car, drove north, tried to impress the potential boss, but those were all secondary objectives. I made sure the entire day-long interview and all that travel didn’t interfere with having an unrushed, beautifully black, charcoal-opaque sass at your bar.
I didn’t get the job, but it was SO worth it.
Now one of those little kids I brought is an adult with a love of road trips. Several times he’s sent me photos of a pit stop in Poky for a growler of sass.
Thanks for the memories! All the best with retiring!
